September 29, annual Women’s race full of beauty and harmony will be held. The event has a unique character and is designed to attract girls and women of the city and region to an active lifestyle. The next thematic competition will be held in preparation for the large-scale Almaty Marathon 2019.
The women’s race is an annual event, the Fun Run format is designed to give more pleasure from overcoming the distance and participation in the event rather than the thirst for victory and rivalry. This year, the competition will be held for the third time. Annually the most creative and athletic girls come to the start. This year, the race is thematic, in the style of movie heroes. Participants can go to the start with unusual make-up or attributes as well as in a full-fledged suit. There is one rule for appearance – nothing should disturb the safety of a participant and her excellent mood.
«The women’s race has become a good autumn tradition of our team”, - comments Saltanat Kazybayeva, the organizer, Director of the Corporate Fund “Courage to be the first”. – “For a woman, sport means not just beauty and health, but also it is a real culture that develops character traits necessary for a modern woman: purposefulness, leadership qualities, self-love, the ability to plan and, as a result, to keep pace with everything, the desire to instill a love of sports and healthy lifestyle in their children. There are fewer women in Kazakhstan sports than men. Our goal is to show that regardless of age, sports for girls is just simple, fun and useful, especially when there is support nearby! ”
This year about 350 ladies are expected at the start. For someone it will be the next start, and someone will go to the start for the first time. Registration is already open. Girls are expected to overcome 8 km distance on one of the most beautiful areas of the city – the Atakent Park.
«All are equal in sports. There are no restrictions on age, social status and gender. The oldest participant of the Almaty Marathon was 80 years old. Women accounted 45% of the total number of participants. If Almaty Marathon is a large-scale celebration of thousands of people from different countries, the Women’s Race is a good reason to run through the park in a company of like-minded people in a warm September day. I think that the emotions from overcoming the distance, the way how you feel yourself and your body after regular trainings, are worth exchanging 30 minutes of sleep for the morning run and preparation for the Women’s Race,”- says Aizhan Yessim, founder of the Almaty Marathon, a member of the Board of Trustees of CF “Courage to be the first”.
The well-known Kazakhstan actress Aruzhan Dzhazilbekova will support the participants at the start and finish. The actress annually runs at the Almaty marathon and goes in for sports.
All girls of 15 years old and over who have passed online-registration can take part in the Race.
Cost of participation is 3000 KZT.
Winners will be awarded medals and gifts in their age categories. Absolute champions will receive money prizes. By tradition, all finishers will be awarded medals.
The organizers of the competition are the Corporate Fund “Courage to be the first”, «World Class Almaty» fitness-club and Academic Shakhmardan Yessenov Science and Education Foundation, with the support of the Akimat of Almaty.
