On October 21 early Saturday morning in the Park of the First President the most beautiful race of “Almaty Marathon” – the Female Race took place. More than 300 race lovers took part in the Race.
The participants overcame the distance of 10 km, having run 2 large circles across the park. The winners, who took the first places in their age categories, are: 16-30 years old – Riana Zeinalova, 31-44 – Yekaterina Shatnaya, above 45 years old – Lyubov Asanova. The participants winning from the 1 to 3rd places got the prize medals and presents from the partners, and at the finish all participants without exceptions were handed in with the exclusive race medals and roses by the honorary participant and biathlete Yelena Khrustalyova, the Olympic Medalist and the master of sport of RK, the honorary participant of the Female Race “Almaty Marathon”.
The honorary prize partner was Oriflame Company, the presents also have been provided by Rocktape, Honey.kz, the network of cinemas Chaplin and fitness club World Class Lite. The event took place with the support of the Scientific and Educational Foundation named after the Academician Shakhmardan Yesenov, fitness club World Class Almaty and akimat of Almaty.
- The today race has really become a holiday of sport and beauty, since in many aspects these definitions are synonyms. We are very glad that the Female Race for many of them has become the starting point for going for races permanently – for some women it is difficult to go out to mass competitions due to many reasons, and one of them is psychological comfort. And here the conditions are favorable and support is rendered, - told Saltanat Kazybayeva, the executive director of the Corporate Foundation “The Courage to be the First”.
Many participants came in bright suites and bouffant tutus, which is some kind of a tradition of this competition.
Alena Pyetrova, the Kazakhstan popular TV presenter and model, the Goodwill Ambassador of the second Female Race, handed in the prizes for the most unusual suits of the participants, and also made a special present to the oldest of the participants – the 67-year old Aua Zhumanova.
The next undertaking of “Almaty Marathon” will be the Autumn Race, registration for which opens on October 25.
