Tau Jarys 2023

Tau Jarys is an annual low-elevation cross-country race and a big family festival. 

Date: 21 May 2023

Venue: Almaty Region, Alatau Biathlon & Ski Complex

Start and finish lines for all distances: Alatau Biathlon & Ski Complex.

Distances:

• 2 km (10-14 years old),
• 6 km (15 years and over),
• 12 km (15 years and over).

Start time to be announced later.

Please compulsorily register online and pay the entry fee to participate.

Entry Fee:

• 12 km – 12,000 KZT,
• 6 km – 10,000 KZT,
• 2 km – 6,000 KZT.

Fees paid for participation are non-refundable and cannot be re-registered.

Starter kits will be issued from 19 to 21 May 2023, inclusive, from 10:00 to 20:00 in Almaty. Place of distribution to be announced later.

Please take a copy of your ID card and a printed Health Acknowledgement with you.

If you cannot pick up your kit, your friends can do it for you by presenting a copy of your ID card, a copy of their ID card and your Health Acknowledgement signed by you. Please print all the documents.

Participants under 18 are also required to provide copies of their parents’ ID cards and a handwritten Acknowledgement Note from their parents.

Age Categories:

2 km (children’s race):

• 10-12 years old;
• 13-14 years old.

6 km, 12 km:

• 15-29 years old;
• 30-39 years old;
• 40-49 years old;
• 50-59 years old;
• 60-69 years old;
• 70+.

Winners in the overall age category for the 6-km and 12-km distances will be awarded with a cash prize, a medal, a diploma and valuable prizes.

Winners in age categories for the 2-km, 6-km and 12-km distances will be awarded with a medal, a diploma and valuable prizes.

All finishing runners will receive a commemorative medal.
