Almaty marathon 2023

Almaty Marathon 2023 is the largest running competition in Central Asia, a city sports festival with the main distance of 42.2 km.

Date: 1.10.2023

Location: Republic Square, Satpayev Str.

Distances: 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km, 10-km Nordic Walking, Ekiden Relay.

Please register online and pay the entry fee to participate.

Registration will close on 15 September 2023 or when the number of participants reaches 15,600, including 100 Ekiden teams.

Entry Fee:

• 42 km – 12,000 KZT
• 21 km – 11,000 KZT
• 10 km – 9,700 KZT
• 10-km Nordic Walking – 9,700 KZT
• Ekiden Relay (6 members in a team) – 210,000 KZT

Fees paid for participation are non-refundable and cannot be re-registered.

Portion of the funds raised from the entry fees of participants will be spent on annual charitable goals. Please click here to see charitable goals for past years.

A BIB number with your name will be assigned after you register and pay for the BIB number before 1 September 2023 (inclusive).

Age Categories:

42 km – 18-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59,  60-69, over 70 years old

21 km – over 18 years old,        

10 km – 15-17, over 18 years old,

10-km Nordic Walking – over 15 years old,

Ekiden relay – over 15 years old.

The winners in the absolute championship at distances of 42 km and 21 km are awarded with a cash certificate, a medal, a diploma and valuable prizes.

The winners in the age categories at distances of 42 km, 10 km are awarded with a medal, a diploma and valuable prizes.

The winners of the Ekiden distance are awarded with cash certificates, diplomas, a cup and valuable prizes.

All finishers of the run will receive a commemorative medal.

The distribution of starter kits will take place on 29-30 of September 2023 from 10:00 to 21:00.

Please take a copy of your ID card and a Health Acknowledgement with you.

If you cannot pick up your kit, your friends can do it up for you by presenting a copy of your ID card, a copy of their ID card and your Health Acknowledgement signed by you.

Participants under 18 are also required to provide copies of their ID card (Birth Certificate), copies of their parents’ ID cards and a handwritten Acknowledgement Note from their parents.
