The organizing committee of the Almaty Half Marathon informs residents and guests of the southern capital of partial road closure on the day of the competitions.
On October 14, during the Almaty Half Marathon from 0.00 to 12.30, traffic on the roads for vehicles at places where the route passes will be temporarily blocked.
Start to Half Marathon will be at the Park of the First President. Traffic on the road section of Al-Farabi Avenue from Navoi to Mustafin will be closed from 0:00 to 12:30. The south side of Al-Farabi Avenue from Navoi to Mustafin will be closed for traffic from 7:20 to 8:00.
Traffic along Al-Farabi Avenue from Mustafin Street to Shashkin Str. will be closed from 7:00 to 11:30. The south side of Al-Farabi Avenue will be open for traffic.
Traffic along Al-Farabi Avenue from Shashkin Str. to Nazarbayev Avenue will be closed from 3:00 to 11:30. The south side of Al-Farabi Avenue will be open for traffic.
Traffic along Seifullin from Al-Farabi Avenue to Abay Avenue will be closed from 07:30 to 10:00. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic along Abay Avenue from Sain to Seifullin will be closed from 07:20 to 12:00. The north side will be open for traffic.
Traffic along Sain from Al-Farabi to Abay Avenue will be closed from 07:00 to 11:00. The west side will be open for traffic.
The data are included taking into account the appropriate allocation of time of movement of the race participants.

«Major sports events are the image of a country, a healthy sports nation. All over the world there is a partial restriction of traffic during such events. For our part, we minimize the closure time, opening the road sections immediately after the athletes pass the distance. We specifically use the road only in the first half of the weekend, so that by the beginning of the busy traffic all the passages are accessible. We hope for the understanding of citizens and we recommend planning the routes in advance, taking into account the road closures,» commented Saltanat Kazybayeva, organizer, director of the Corporate Fund «Courage to be the first».
Recommended routes to get to the park of the First President by car:
- Along Mustafin Street to the south to Al-Farabi Avenue,
- Along Navoi Street to the south to Al-Farabi Avenue,
- Along Sadykov Street to the north to Al-Farabi Avenue,
- Along Dulati Street to the north to Al-Farabi Avenue.
Due to traffic congestion, we recommend that participants get to to the start area (The Park of the First President) by bus till the intersection of Al-Farabi Avenue and Mustafin Street. We draw your attention to the fact that the parking near the Start (The Park of the First President) and finish town will be difficult.
