«My Win Triathlon Almaty» II Triathlon Championship was held in Almaty among the children from boarding schools and orphanages.

«My Win Triathlon Almaty» II Triathlon Championship was held in Almaty among the children from boarding schools and orphanages.

125 pupils of SOS Children's village, No. 10 and 17 boarding schools of Almaty took part in the championship. 24 small athletes from the Special Correctional boarding school No.9 for children with severe speech disorders of Almaty city Education Department swam, ran and rode bikes along with others.

The organizers of the event are «MY WIN» project, Almaty Triathlon Federation, «Courage to be the first» Corporate Fund (Organizer of the Almaty Marathon) and the World Class Almaty.

«We have been working on this for three months. Training lessons for participants started in early September.  Every day, experienced triathlon coaches - masters of sports Evgeny Azaryev, Dmitry Khan and Ilya Gusakov worked with children in the swimming pools and gyms teaching them triathlon tricks.  Our project motivates the children of orphanages and children with disabilities to a lead a healthy lifestyle and gives them opportunity to feel as good as everyone. All this is important for their socialization and successful future. There are other tactical goals, such as strengthening willpower, dedication, development of communication skills with peers and adults” says Lubov Pak, the head of the «MY WIN» project.

A Super Sprint Triathlon Indoor special program, consisting of 3 stages, such as swimming, cycling and running, was invented for children. Test distances: aquathlon (50 m - swimming, 1 km - running), triathlon (100 m-swimming, 5 km – cycling, 1 km - running).

According to the results of the competition the winners are: 4-5 grades: Nurdaulet Kamishbayev, Mukhamedkhaidar Rustem, Mukhamedkarim Mussabayev, Assel Danabek, Aidana Kalmanbayeva, Moldir Dyusupova. 6-7 grades: Zhasulan Karenov, Nursultan Bedilbek, Yerassyl Murat, Kamilla Akimzhanova, Shakizat Nurzhan, Laura Zenko. 8-10 grades: Adil Culykubayev, Daryn Dautkhan, Danil Nisanov, Enlik Murzagalyieva, Zhanel Sadu, Aisha Ziyabek.

Young athletes (everyone, with no exception!) were awarded with medals and sports bikes by “MY WIN” project at the awards ceremony, and the winners in their age categories also received vouchers to summer recreation camps.
