Today the ceremonial opening and transfer of the multifunctional sports ground to pupils of the regional special boarding school for children with visual impairments in the Yessik town. Not only partners, but also participants of the Almaty Marathon came to the presentation of the project implementation.
It was honor and privilege of Saltanat Kazybayeva, the Executive Director of the Corporate Fund “Courage to be the first” to open the new football field.
- «By promoting a healthy lifestyle and sports, we want to show that sports opportunities are multifaceted and everyone can add sports to their regular and favorite activities. Through our marathon we create not only a healthy, strong and stylish nation, but we also promote responsibility and gratitude in each participant. Almaty marathon, first of all, is a social project. For already 7 years, since the very creation of this project, we have chosen charitable goals and are implementing them together with thousands of runners who come the start»,- says Saltanat Kazybayeva.
After the official part of the opening, children gave a small concert with Kazakh and Russian songs.
«Our children regularly participate in many city and republican contests and competitions. Several students participated in the Almaty Marathon, and very soon on September 15 there will be a national Championship on goalball (Paralympic discipline for the blind and visually impaired). The ball in this game rolls exclusively on the floor. Four of our students will go to the championship to defend the honor of the school. Now they will have a large equipped field, where you can train and practice skill for new victories. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this good deed, " - the Principle of the school Gulnar Duisenaikyzy thanked all participants.
The presentation took place with the participation of real professional players. The children played the first game together with football players Dudu and Hossein Tayebi from the famous team of the Almaty futsal club "Kairat", which today is one of the strongest clubs in Europe.
This year the Almaty marathon implemented 3 charitable purposes. Sports grounds were built and sports equipment was bought for the hospice for children with oncological diseases "I'm with you", No. 6 Secondary boarding school for children with intellectual disabilities and for the regional special boarding school for children with visual impairments in the Yessik town.
The next Almaty marathon will be held on April 21, 2019. For the next event, new charitable goals will be chosen, the funds for which will be allocated from the start fees of participants.
