Almaty Marathon 2022 is the largest running competition in Central Asia, a city sports festival with the main distance of 42.2 km.

Location: Republic Square, Satpayev Str.

Distances: 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km, 10-km Nordic Walking, Ekiden Relay.

Please register online and pay the entry fee to participate.

Registration will close on 9 September 2022 or when the number of participants reaches 12,000, including 90 Ekiden teams.

Entry Fee:

• 42 km – 10,000 KZT
• 21 km – 9,000 KZT
• 10 km – 8,000 KZT
• 10-km Nordic Walking – 8,000 KZT
• Ekiden Relay (6 members in a team) – 150,000 KZT

Fees paid for participation are non-refundable and cannot be re-registered.

Portion of the funds raised from the entry fees of participants will be spent on annual charitable goals. Please click here to see charitable goals for past years.

A BIB number with your name will be assigned after you register and pay for the BIB number before 25 August 2022 (inclusive).

Age Categories:

42 km – 18-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, over 60 years old,

21 km – over 18 years old,        

10 km – 15-17, over 18 years old,

10-km Nordic Walking – over 15 years old,

Ekiden relay – over 16 years old.

Winners in the absolute championship for the 42-km and 21.1-km distances will be awarded with a cash prize, a medal, a diploma and valuable prizes.

Winners in the age categories for the 42-km, 10-km distances and Ekiden will be awarded with a medal, a diploma and valuable prizes.

All finishers of the run will receive a commemorative medal.

The Marathon Championship of Kazakhstan and a 10-km run will be organized as part of the Almaty Marathon

The distribution of starter kits will take place on 23-24 of September 2022 from 10:00 to 21:00. Location: «Bakhshasaray», st. Timiryazev, 42 (https://2gis.kz/almaty/firm/9429940000921500).

Please take a copy of your ID card and a Health Acknowledgement with you.

If you cannot pick up your kit, your friends can do it up for you by presenting a copy of your ID card, a copy of their ID card and your Health Acknowledgement signed by you.

Participants under 18 are also required to provide copies of their ID card (Birth Certificate), copies of their parents’ ID cards and a handwritten Acknowledgement Note from their parents.
